The Mockingjay (part 2) is the last -but not least- of the four movies based on the Hunger Games trilogy written by Suzanne Collins.
Katniss, played by Jennifer Lawrence, who started as an adolescent randomly chosen to play in a deadly game, is now a young woman embodying the rebellion. She changed a lot because of what she has been through but, as a spectator, it is always a pleasure to see her fighting for her ideas, never listening to anyone.
The director, Francis Lawrence, gives an epic conclusion to the serie. Part 2 exactly picks up where the last movie stopped. One way or another, the rebellion is coming to its end and during two hours we can feel that something big is going to happen. There is always a lot of action but what really makes this movie interesting is that it takes a deep look into the societal issues tackled previously, like for example, how far can we go in order to protect freedom.
If you love the books, you’ll love this movie which is very faithful to the story. If you love dystopias or science-fiction you’ll also love seeing Katniss and her friends trying to liberate Panem from President Snow while escaping mortal traps and dangerous enemies. To sum up, there will always be a good reason for you to watch this movie so if you are not convinced, just look at the trailer !
